The ascent to the Gafadura hut leads largely through shady forest. Once arrived at the Gafadura Hut (1428 metres above sea level), we grant ourselves a rest and enjoy the magnificent view. We then continue on the Drei-Schwestern Trail and the Fürstensteig, which can be described as the classic mountain tour in Liechtenstein par excellence. You will never forget the tour for sure-footed hikers between the secured rocky tracks. The Drei-Schwestern ascent (opened in 1898) and the Fürstensteig are considered audacious and magnificently executed mountaineering routes and are connected by a beautiful and panoramic ridge path. The Kuhgrat (2123 metres above sea level), the highest point of the first hiking day, offers excellent views of the Rätikon and the Swiss and Vorarlberg mountains. The view down to the villages along the River Rhine to Lake Constance is also memorable, as are the splendid scree flora. Via Silum we arrive at the end of the first day at Steg, where the Sücka Mountain Inn or the Steg Hotel Restaurant provide overnight accommodation.

Alternative routes
A: It is possible to bypass the Fürstensteig on easier mountain paths, thereby shortening the tour (via Bärgällasattel).

B: Path linking the Sücka Mountain Inn and the Steg Hotel. The 2-day tour can also be completed in reverse order from Malbun. This is less demanding in terms of fitness.
